From Surf to Snow, you can see it all in Huntington Beach

This morning I went to go visit Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach and stood in silence thinking about the fact that I live in one of the most beautiful places in the country. The Bolsa Chica Conservancy has been working to restore the wetlands for at least 25 years now and have made major progress just in the past few including a newly rebuilt walking bridge and system of trails. Several species of birds are here to be watched and admired and I even watched a few fish jumping out of the water to catch their breakfast while I was there. Walking on the recently rehabilitated foot bridge crossing the calm clear water with snow capped mountains in the background was awe inspiring. I have not been to many places in the world where great surf and snow are visible from the same spot.
